When we decided to build the first eight homes, we didn’t know what to expect. Before the first eight homes were completed a pre-sold list was compiled, there were simply not enough homes being built to accommodate everyone who wanted a new home. We started out with a single family residence made up of 1690 square feet featuring 2x6 construction, vaulted ceilings, granite counters, stainless steel appliances and landscaped front yards, all for around the $200,000’s. Wow! What a bargain, but enough couldn’t be built in time, so other builders joined the housing boom in Salton City, which created a stir of a little desolate town on the shores of the Salton Sea.
